Topographical Land Surveys – Standard specification includes:-
• Boundaries of site with descriptions
• Footprint of existing structures with ridge and eaves heights
• Level grid at approximately 10m intervals with additional levels at “creases
• and abrupt changes in level
• Contours where appropriate at 500mm height intervals or as requested
• Nearside edge of road where it abuts the site (if applicable)
• Drainage manhole covers with cover levels where visible and location of
• other services
• Overhead cables
• Edge of foliage
• Leave survey station control nails on site for reuse later
• Supply one film negative and one digital file in “Autocad” and “DXF” format

This is just a standard specification. Often clients may want to focus on certain things, which is not a problem.

 

Internal Building Surveys
The ACAD Mapping Building specification includes for precisely defining all walls, columns, beams, stairs, service entry points, ducts, doors and windows. Levels are obtained for all floor levels, together with floor to ceiling heights, floor to beam heights, windows with both head and cill heights along with ridge and eave heights.

Conveyancing
Your boundaries can be measured to +/-15mm accuracy using GPS equipment. This can then be merged if necessary with a digital Ordnance Survey map to show the surrounding areas. This is very useful for Land Registry purposes.
